“If you want to know your past life, look at your present
conditions. If you want to know your
future life, look at your present actions.”
— Warren Sanders
Personal Note:
I think about the kids who
are in my sphere of influence. And I realize that one of the most rewarding
things in life is to see them succeed. And one of the most difficult things in
life is to see them stumble. Recently, some of “my kids” stumbled
into some trouble with the Law. And seeing them in jail broke my heart. I
started to worry. But then, I reminded myself that there is no power in panic.
Worry is a waste of time and life is too short to waste time! We must let go of
the worry and we must stay focused on maximizing the resources that God has
given us and encouraging others to do the same. Also, we must never judge an
issue too soon. We only see the present issue. But, always keep in mind that
the present issue is just one part of the bigger picture. Often, we can’t see
the picture because we are standing in the frame. God has a plan and HIS plan
is good. In Luke 8: 49-56, there is a story about a man named Jairus who had a
daughter who was sick. And Jairus was in the process of trying to get help for
her when he received a message that she was already dead. Jairus was told that
he should stop trying because there was no more hope in the situation – his
daughter was already dead. But, Jesus told Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just
have faith, and she will be healed.” And Jesus healed her. Never
underestimate the power of God! I know you feel a little nervous about some of
the issues going on in your life. But, please, keep in mind — those present
issues are part of a bigger picture. Continue to take one step at a time and
keep your hands extended out to God. Everything is fine. Don’t be afraid. Just
have faith. Those issues are being worked out behind the scenes (even right now
at this very minute, moves are being made in your favor) and one day, you will
look back on those issues and you will see that they really are all part of a
beautiful, bigger picture.
Continue to count it all
joy!
God bless you!
